Recipient of the Prix André Dubreuil du Premier Roman (2020) and the Grand Prix du Roman Métis (2020), Bélem has penned two novels to date – Un monstre est là, derrière la porte (2020) and Le fruit le plus rare (2023), both available in the original French from Gallimard. Bélem is the first novelist from Réunion to be published by the leading French publishing house.
